Simple Plumbing Solutions for Everyone

  • Not always. Simple projects like replacing a P-trap, swapping a faucet, or unclogging a drain are very DIY friendly with the right tutorial. If you’re unsure whether your plumbing repair needs a professional, give us a call! We’re happy to walk you through it over the phone. If it turns out you need help, we’re here for that too.

  • A repair fixes what's already there, a leak, a clog, a broken fixture. A plumbing remodel involves relocating or adding new plumbing, which typically requires permits and inspections. Knowing the difference helps you budget and plan correctly. Not sure which category your project falls into? We can help you figure it out before you spend a dime.

  • A little preventive care goes a long way. For residential plumbing maintenance, here are the basics: avoid pouring grease down your kitchen drain, use a hair strainer in shower drains, and never flush wipes — even ones labeled "flushable." Check under sinks every few months for slow drips, and have your water heater flushed annually to prevent sediment buildup. If you have copper water supply lines, keep an eye out for green discoloration near fittings, which can signal early corrosion. Catching small issues early is almost always cheaper than waiting. If something looks off, give us a call — a quick inspection can save you from a much bigger headache down the road.

  • Warning signs that call for a professional plumber: low water pressure throughout the home, a sewage smell indoors, water stains on ceilings or walls, or multiple slow drains at once. One slow drain is usually a clog. Multiple slow drains often point to a deeper issue in the drain waste vent system. When in doubt, a quick call costs nothing.

  • Rough-in plumbing is the first phase of new construction plumbing — installing all the drain, waste, vent, and supply lines before the walls are closed up. For a standard single-family home, rough-in typically takes 2–5 days depending on the number of bathrooms and whether gas line installation is involved. We coordinate directly with your framing crew and inspection schedule to keep your build on track.

  • Both are reliable choices for residential water supply lines. Copper is time-tested, long-lasting, and widely preferred. PEX is flexible, faster to install, and more resistant to freezing, making it popular in new construction. We work with both and can recommend the right option based on your project, local code, and budget.

  • Every homeowner should know where their main water shutoff valve is. It's usually near the water meter, under a sink, or where the main line enters the home. Individual fixtures also have their own shutoff valves nearby. If you can't find yours, call us, we'd rather help you locate it now than have you scrambling during a leak.

  • A sudden increase in your water bill almost always means something is running that shouldn't be. The most common cause is a running toilet — a worn flapper can waste hundreds of gallons silently. Other culprits include a slow leak under a sink, a dripping outdoor hose bib, or a water line leak inside a wall. Start by checking all your fixtures, and call us if you can't find the source.

  • Most tank water heaters last 8–12 years, while tankless water heaters can last 20 years or more with proper care. Signs you may need a replacement: rusty or discolored hot water, a rumbling or popping sound from the tank, inconsistent water temperature, or visible corrosion around the unit. Annual water heater maintenance — including flushing sediment from the tank, can significantly extend its lifespan and keep it running efficiently. We offer an annual plumbing maintenance plan that includes a full water heater flush and whole-home inspection. Check out our Services page to learn more.

  • A whole-home plumbing inspection covers all the things most homeowners don't think about until something goes wrong — checking supply lines, drain lines, water heater condition, visible pipe corrosion, water pressure, and fixture performance. Catching a small issue early can save you thousands in emergency repairs. We offer an affordable annual plumbing maintenance plan starting at $150 that includes a full inspection and water heater flush. Visit our Services page for details.
